| Jurassic
Park Trilogy Movie Customizations |
| |
| |
| Of
all the Jurassic Park series humans that are out there we are featuring
the figures we feel are closer to their film counter parts in their likeness.
We also modified several other aspects of the figures, mostly their accessories. |
| |
| Jurassic
Park Employee |
Original
Figure: "JAWS" Jackson, JP - Series 2
Accessories: Taser/None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: This figure works excellent for a worker
of Jurassic Park; however, if he is part of the security force he should
have a blue outfit, if he isn't then a pink shirt and no weapons. Overall
great for a generic "JP" worker guy. |
| |
| |
| Dr.
Gerry Harding |
Original
Figure: Dino Tracker, The Lost World Utahraptor Dino Tracker Set
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: This figure works great for Gerry Harding
or just a plain Park Veterinarian. The outfit almost matches what is seen
on film. |
| |
| |
| Robert
Muldoon |
Original
Figure: Robert Muldoon, JP - Series 2
Accessories: Shotgun & Flashlight
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Move the shotgun to his left hand. It
maybe be one handed, but this as close to him holding a shotgun as possible.
A suggested would be to find a way to swap heads between this and the
series one version; however, the green and black do look good. The actor
likeness is excellent though too. |
| |
| |
| Dennis
Nedry |
Original
Figure: Dennis Nedry, JP - Series 2
Accessories: Embryo Canister
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications:
Eliminated mask and spray pack and in turn gave him Grant's funny- looking
"Nuclear Smart Bomb" that looks like an embryo canister for
Nedry to use as a substitute for his Barbasol can. Overall this figure
is a bit of an improvement from the first; however, it would've been nice
if they gave him glasses. The bad portion about this figure is the clothing,
lack of glasses, and the gun strapped to him; however, character likeness
is excellent! |
| |
| |
| Dr.
Alan Grant (JP) |
Original
Figure: Dr. Alan Grant, JP - Series 2
Accessories: None/Shotgun
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: This figure has more of a likeness of
Sam Neill than the original figure. What was from this figure was of course
the over sized weaponry. What can be of this figure is a re-paint of his
clothing to match the character in the film or exchanging the heads between
the Series 1 and Series 2 figures. |
| |
| |
| Dr.
Ellie Sattler |
Original
Figure: Ellie Sattler, JP - Series 2
Accessories: Eliminated unrealistic weapons
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Eliminated over-sized grappling hook weapon
and backpack. Overall this figure is one of the best in the sense of canon.
The outfit nearly matches and if you feel like popping the head off your
first series Ellie and replacing it with more of an actor likeness it
would be good to do. |
| |
| |
| Tim
Murphy |
Original
Figure: Tim Murphy, JP - Series 2
Accessories: Night Vision Goggles
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: It would have been nice if he was given
clothes that matched his wardrobe in the film; however, this figure is
still nice. |
| |
| |
| Dr.
Ian Malcolm (JP) |
Original
Figure: Ian Malcolm, JP - Series 2
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: None. Hasbro/Kenner got this one right,
except for the over sized guns. |
| |
| |
| Eddie
Carr |
Original
Figure: Eddie Carr, Lost World - Series 1
Accessories: Dr. Snare's Rifle
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: An actor likeness would be nice for a
start along with maybe a Landstradt rifle for a change too. Dr. Snare's
gun or Dieter Stark's rifle could be used as a Landstradt rifle though. |
| |
| |
| Dr.
Ian Malcolm (TLW) |
Original
Figure: Ian Malcolm, Lost World - Series 1
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: This figure would've been nice if it was
closer to Jeff Goldblum's look in the second film. It should also be noted
the original prototype didn't have glasses, we wonder why Hasbro decided
to go with a glasses version instead. |
| |
| |
| Kelly
Curtis |
Original
Figure: Kelly Malcolm from Mobile Command Center, Lost World - Series
1
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: None |
| |
| |
| Dr.
Sarah Harding |
Original
Figure: Sarah Harding, Lost World - Series 1
Accessories: Camera, Backpack
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Remove the unrealistic weapons. We gave
her Robert Muldoon's backpack and figured this worked best for the figure. |
| |
| |
| Nick
Van Owen |
Original
Figure: Nick Van Owen, Lost World - Series 2
Accessories: Video Camera
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Remove the unrealistic weapons |
| |
| |
| Dieter
Stark |
Original
Figure: Dino Tracker from Dinosaur Tracker Adventure Set, The Lost
World
Accessories: G3 Assault Rifle (Motorcycle Driver's Gun)
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: You're probably looking at the picture
and realizing this isn't the Dieter Stark that Hasbro/Kenner created,
well you're right. Instead of the standard Dieter we decided to use one
that wasn't an entire departure from the film's counterpart. This figure
is from the Estemmenosuchus and Scutosaurus pack, during The Lost World
Jurassic Park's release. The original Dieter is being used as a standard
hunter as he looks nothing like the Dieter Stark in the film. Although
this figure is a bit off with the hat and dino-protection gear this figure
overall fits better, in our opinion, as a stand-in for Dieter. |
| |
| |
| Roland
Tembo |
Original
Figure: Roland Tembo, Lost World - Series 1
Accessories: Shotgun
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: A wardrobe change would be a nice place
to start for this figure. We would've used the DART Roland figure, but
the hands do not hold the shotgun like we want. |
| |
| |
| Peter
Ludlow |
Original
Figure: Peter Ludlow, Lost World - Series 1
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Actor likeness isn't dead on, but it still
is a nice figure. The Peter Ludlow figure had all of his weapons taken
away first off. A closer hair style to what was seen in the film along
with glasses and an outfit change wouldn't have been bad either. |
| |
| |
| Carter |
Original
Figure: Dino-Tracker from Jurassic Park 3 Adventure Set, Jurassic
Park 3
Accessories: Sub-Machine Gun & Backpack
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Overall a better use of this figure from
this set than a motorcycle driver. The guy in this set fits the role of
Carter, Dieter's Driver, quite well. Of course we eliminated the oversized
weapons. What would make this figure more movie canon is of course a wardrobe
change. |
| |
| |
| Dr.
Robert Burke |
Original
Figure: Dino Tracker from The Lost World Hunter Pack With Young Tyrannosaurus
Rex, Lost World - Series 1
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Since there was no figure for Dr. Burke
we thought this guy would work well for the role. Even though he is a
repaint, like Carter, of the Harpoon Harrison from the Jurassic Park Series
2 Line a wardrobe change would help, but all in all this figure suits
the role like the Dieter, JP Employee, Gerry Harding, and Carter figures
we selected. |
| |
| |
| Ajay
Sidhu |
Original
Figure: Ajay Sidhu, Lost World - Series 2
Accessories: Machine Gun/Rifle
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Eliminate the backpack missile launcher
and keep the machine gun he carries. While the figure's costume doesn't
match his film counterpart's at least the likeness is dead on in this
case. |
| |
| |
| Hunter
#1 |
Original
Figure: Dieter Stark, Lost World - Series 1
Accessories: Machine Gun/Rifle
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Overall The Lost World Jurassic Park Dieter
Stark works better as a generic hunter figure. |
| |
| |
| Hunter
#2 |
Original
Figure: Dinosaur Trainer from Young T-Rex & Dinosaur Trainer,
JP Dinosaurs - Series 1
Accessories: Snare (Tim Murphy Series 1 or 2)
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Eliminate the oversized and/or unrealistic
weapons. |
| |
| |
| Hunter
#3 |
Original
Figure: Trainer from JP Dinosaurs Series 1: Pachycephalosaurus &
Trainer
Accessories: Snare (Tim Murphy Series 1 or 2)
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Eliminate the oversized and/or unrealistic
weapons. |
| |
| |
| Amanda
Kirby |
Original
Figure: Amanda Kirby, Jurassic Park 3
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: This figure could use a likeness more
similar to Tea Leoni. |
| |
| |
| Paul
Kirby |
Original
Figure: Paul Kirby, Jurassic Park 3
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: Paul Kirby in the movie had a mustache,
this Paul does not. All in all a still very close and near canon figure.
| |
| |
| Eric
Kirby |
Original
Figure: Eric Kirby, Jurassic Park 3
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: The flashlight is permanently stuck in
his hand. If this could somehow be fixed this figure would be a bit better. |
| |
| |
| Billy
Brennan |
Original
Figure: Billy Brennan, Jurassic Park 3
Accessories: Glider/Para-Sail
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: If there was only a way to remove that
unsightly glove this figure would also be dead on. |
| |
| |
| Dr.
Alan Grant (JP3) |
Original
Figure: Dr. Alan Grant, Jurassic Park 3 - Wave 2 Release
Accessories: None
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: This figure is less buff than the first
release of the figure, but it could match the wardrobe in the film a bit
more. |
| |
| |
| Military
General |
Original
Figure: Military General, Jurassic Park 3
Accessories: M-16 (Unknown Origin)
Canon Rating:
Suggested Modifications: The Military General is perfect for having
Grant and co. meet with in dioramas like at the end of Jurassic Park 3.
While there aren't any generals in the scene it still is a great "soldier"
figure to use. |
